Puerto Galera lies approximately 100 miles due south of Manila. The place is situated on the north tip of Mindoro island across the Verde Island passage from Luzon (the main island where Manila is situated.) Travel time to Puerto Galera is around five hours by bus and ferry. Upon arrival to Puerto Galera you travel to the resort via local motorized outrigger boat (banca).
A tourist transport operator (SIKAT LTD) operates from the City State Tower Hotel in Mabini St., Ermita Manila. You can also used a public utility bus along Buendia going to Batangas Pier for only Php120.00 per head but with no definite time of departure.
The tourist coach leaves at precisely 9am---7 days a week. You will arrive at the port of Batangas for your trip aboard the Sikat ferry or an outrigger boat to Puerto Galera. The bus and ferry trip takes about 5 hours. The ferry leaves Puerto Galera also everyday at 9:30am to connect to the bus in Batangas.
Due to Coast Guard regulations, private boat travel can be restricted, please check with the Beach Club as to whether your arrival time in Manila is compatible. |
